Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with academic and hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for high-demand careers in fields like healthcare, technology, skilled trades, and more. CTE connects classroom instruction with real-world skills, helping students explore career pathways and gain industry certifications or college credit. It supports student engagement by making learning relevant and practical. Offering CTE in school districts ensures students are better prepared for both college and the workforce, strengthening local economies and meeting community workforce needs. Lyon County School district is proud to offer a wide variety of these program for their students throughout the school district.
